Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems architecture (cloud, microservices, APIs, integrations).
- 3+ years of experience leading technical teams.
- Hands-on experience with legacy system modernization, specifically Java8 and WebSphere.
- Proven experience with observability, SRE, and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency with containers, cloud-native environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong emotional intelligence for high-pressure, complex team environments.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools is highly valued.
- Relevant certifications like AWS/Azure/GCP, CKAD/CKA, or TOGAF are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Dive into existing legacy codebases and architectures to identify bottlenecks and technical debt.
- Lead team modernization efforts, including migration to microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- Establish engineering metrics like DORA and SRE practices (SLOs, SLAs, incident management).
- Integrate AI tools into the development cycle for code generation, testing, and documentation.
- Act as a technical bridge between business and engineering stakeholders.
- Foster a high-performance team culture through mentoring, feedback, and autonomy.
