Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in QA Automation Engineering.
- Proven experience leading and owning automation initiatives in technology or SaaS environments.
- Proven experience in end-to-end test automation.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.
- Advanced experience with Playwright or similar frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
- Experience with BDD / Gherkin syntax and implementation.
- Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.
- Solid understanding of API testing and end-to-end testing practices.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development/testing tools like Claude, Cursor, or Augment.
Responsibilities
- Architect and break down ambiguous product problems into concrete, well-scoped test cases and test plans, owning work from design through production release.
- Contribute to our AI-first engineering culture, share patterns, document what works, and help the team level up on how we build with AI.
- Use AI tools fluently, such as Claude Code or Augment, to compress implementation time and critically review output.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to identify gaps in specs, surface edge cases early, and push back when something is not ready to ship.
- Set the quality bar through well-structured code, thorough code reviews, and maintaining test coverage to catch bugs before production.
