Requirements
- Minimum 10-17 years of relevant IT experience depending on degree level.
- Minimum 15 years experience in full-stack web development.
- Minimum 10 years experience in geospatial web programming.
- Minimum 10 years experience in UI/UX design.
- Minimum 5 years experience with code/data management tools (Git, SVN).
- Expertise in JavaScript (ES3-ES6+), HTML, CSS, jQuery, Kendo UI Professional, and OpenLayers.
- Experience with Webpack and Vite build tools.
- Backend proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate), Node.js, or PHP.
- Experience with SQLite and SQL-based data access.
- Must hold IT Security / Web Application Security certification or professional training.
- Must hold IBM Data Science Professional Certificate or equivalent.
- Must hold IBM AI Engineering Professional Certificate or equivalent related to geospatial/scientific data.
- Must hold digital accessibility certification or professional training.
- Must hold UX research certification or professional training.
- Fluent English (B2+) and Italian (B2+).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack functionality from architecture to backend logic and API integration.
- Monitor, test, and optimize Web GIS application architecture for performance, rendering, and scalability.
- Design and develop new application components and improve existing ones for better UX.
- Develop transformation processes and automation scripts for geospatial data formats (e.g., XLS/TIFF to JSON/GeoJSON/COG).
- Implement web security practices (OWASP Top 10) and conduct vulnerability remediation.
- Develop responsive cross-device applications and integrate REST APIs.
- Create interactive data visualizations, infographics, and data-driven publication templates.
- Perform debugging, testing, and technical documentation.
