Requirements
- Native fluency in English (AU) with a strong ear for colloquial phrasing.
- Experience directing, coaching, or producing voice or audio talent.
- Demonstrated ability to give clear, actionable performance direction.
- Working knowledge of basic recording/mic technique such as proximity and plosives.
- Comfortable improvising and adjusting scripted material on the spot.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with performers.
- Background in improv, theater direction, or acting coaching preferred.
- Experience directing non-professional voice talent preferred.
- Familiarity with DAWs or recording software preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct voice performers through scripted scenarios, coaching for natural, conversational delivery.
- Build scene context and improvise to fill narrative or dialogue gaps live.
- Adapt scripted wording for natural phrasing and regional authenticity.
- Monitor and correct technical audio quality including mic technique, pacing, and clarity.
- Manage session pacing to meet recording targets while maintaining performance quality.
