Requirements
- 5+ years in security engineering or security-heavy infrastructure work.
- Depth in AWS security (IAM, SCPs, logging, detection, encryption).
- Proficiency in Python and Terraform.
- Experience with SOC 2 compliance, ideally owning a Type II audit.
- Working knowledge of privacy legislation (GDPR, CCPA).
- Exposure to or appetite for financial-services customer scrutiny.
- Working knowledge or strong fundamentals in LLM security risks.
- Strong judgment to prioritize and explain risks to auditors and engineers.
- Excellent clear writing for async policy and risk documentation.
- Ambition to grow into an executive/CISO role.
Responsibilities
- Own security in AWS environment including IAM, network segmentation, and encryption.
- Build security into the development pipeline via secrets management and threat modeling.
- Automate detection rules, alerting, and compliance evidence collection.
- Run vulnerability management and incident response programs.
- Define security rules and risk controls for AI and LLM usage.
- Lead SOC 2 compliance and manage the auditor relationship.
- Handle regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, DORA, and GLBA.
- Conduct customer security reviews, RFPs, and due diligence questionnaires.
- Manage vendor reviews and third-party risk assessments.
- Develop security awareness training and device hygiene programs.
