Requirements
- Experience managing and developing software engineers, including senior engineers, in a high-ownership environment.
- Direct experience shipping production blockchain wallet functionality.
- In-depth understanding of self-custody, private-key security, signing, recovery, and wallet-to-dApp interaction patterns.
- Hands-on DeFi fluency, including understanding liquidity, routing, slippage, staking, lending, and protocol risks.
- Strong systems judgment across client applications, backend services, APIs or SDKs, and distributed dependencies.
- A track record of setting direction in ambiguous environments and delivering reliable products across multiple platforms.
- Ability to partner effectively with product, design, and security teams.
- Experience integrating decentralized exchanges, aggregators, or bridges is preferred.
- Familiarity with Sui, Move, or other modern smart-contract platforms is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, coach, and retain a team of engineers working across wallet clients, supporting services, and onchain integrations.
- Set technical direction for account creation and recovery, key management, signing, transaction construction and simulation, and dApp connectivity.
- Create clear ownership and execution plans across web, browser extension, iOS, Android, backend services, and protocol dependencies.
- Raise standards for architecture, testing, release safety, observability, and incident response in an asset-sensitive product.
- Partner with product and design to simplify complex onchain workflows while maintaining transparency regarding fees, permissions, and risks.
- Collaborate with security and protocol teams to manage threats, dependencies, and tradeoffs between usability and asset protection.
- Prioritize work using data, user research, and ecosystem context to measure engineering outcomes.
