Requirements
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license required.
- 1-2 year’s experience in a pharmacy technician role within a Specialty pharmacy, PBM, or managed care setting.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmacy claims adjudication and benefit designs/terminology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for phone, email, and chat interactions.
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and work independently.
- Demonstrated empathy and desire to provide concierge-level service.
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as direct member and provider contact for specialty pharmacy benefit information, prior authorization requests, and navigation support.
- Support members enrolled in specialty management programs by coordinating prior authorizations, fulfilling prescriptions, and enrolling in assistance programs.
- Follow up with members post-medication receipt to ensure satisfaction, coordinate refills, and connect with pharmacists for clinical questions.
- Resolve inquiries from members, providers, and HR departments regarding specialty distribution, formulary coverage, cost, and claims adjudication.
- Support Specialty Clinical Pharmacists with appointment scheduling, medication adherence outreach, and administrative documentation.
- Conduct quality reviews of interactions to ensure operating standards and regulatory privacy requirements are met.
