Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA certification required.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Significant Big 4 public accounting experience (technical accounting or national office experience preferred).
- Strong, current knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to research technical issues and write well-supported position papers or memos.
- Experience with technical accounting areas including ASC 718 (stock-based compensation), ASC 842 (leases), and ASC 606 (revenue).
- Public company experience with a working understanding of SOX internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and/or Workiva preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional partnering skills.
Responsibilities
- Research and document technical accounting positions for complex, non-recurring, and emerging transactions under U.S. GAAP.
- Monitor and assess new accounting pronouncements (ASUs) and SEC guidance to maintain company accounting policies.
- Prepare technical accounting analyses for areas such as revenue, stock-based compensation, leases, EPS, debt, and investments.
- Operate key SOX controls, maintain audit-ready documentation, and coordinate with external auditors.
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Legal teams to evaluate the accounting implications of strategic initiatives.
- Verify accurate chart of accounts creation and maintenance to ensure financial statement alignment.
- Support the preparation and review of workpapers for Form 10-Q/10-K filings.
