Requirements
- 8+ years in consumer finance or lending.
- 5+ years specializing in consumer debt collections and collections strategy.
- Deep understanding of collection levers and channel optimization.
- Proven track record of improving recovery metrics through segmentation.
- Experience framing complex problems and building evidence-based business cases.
- Solid working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FDCPA, Regulation F, TCPA).
- Familiarity with champion/challenger testing.
- Proficiency with SQL and BI platforms (Looker, Tableau).
- Experience utilizing Jira.
- Comfortable utilizing AI tools to accelerate work.
Responsibilities
- Lead collections strategy initiatives from initial opportunity identification through design, testing, launch, and ongoing optimization.
- Determine contact timing, frequency, treatment sequencing, and segmentation across email, SMS/MMS, outbound dialing, and digital self-service channels.
- Translate strategic concepts into actionable business requirements and clear business cases for Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Partner across Data Science, Client Management, Contact Center Operations, Product, Legal, and Compliance to move initiatives into production.
- Monitor delivery, engagement, payment conversion, and payment plan break rates to improve client scorecard performance and recovery outcomes.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate hypothesis development, research, and strategy design while building repeatable testing frameworks.
