Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong, recent production experience with TypeScript.
- Proficiency with Nest.js or comparable DI-based Node frameworks.
- Experience building integration services or API gateways (webhooks, auth, retries, idempotency, circuit breakers).
- Expertise in PostgreSQL and relational data modelling, including schema design and migrations.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems and data isolation requirements.
- Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS, S3, IAM, Secrets Manager/Vault).
- Familiarity with reading and proposing Terraform infrastructure changes.
- Proficiency in AI-native development workflows (using tools like Claude Code/Codex).
- Self-directed ability to scope ambiguous requests and deliver without heavy oversight.
- Fluent English and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the gateway service on the client's Nest.js-based internal framework and AWS.
- Implement webhook contracts including HMAC authentication, IP allowlisting, and robust date handling.
- Build a tenant router and registry with composite resolution and failure behavior definitions.
- Develop a source adapter framework featuring common interfaces, auth, retries, and circuit breakers.
- Manage batch processing paths including SFTP ingestion, file validation, and idempotent data loads into PostgreSQL.
- Define a canonical policy model and manage mapping tables through business review.
- Implement per-tenant observability, including Grafana dashboards, structured logs, and monitoring alerts.
- Execute isolation testing, failure-mode drills, and security reviews.
