Requirements
- 5+ years backend engineering with strong, recent TypeScript in production.
- Experience with Nest.js or a comparable DI-based Node framework.
- Experience building integration services or API gateways including webhooks, auth, and circuit breakers.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational data modelling.
- Hands-on AWS experience (ECS/EKS/Lambda, SQS, S3, IAM, Secrets Manager/Vault).
- Ability to read and propose Terraform.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems and hard data isolation requirements.
- AI-native way of working utilizing tools like Claude Code and Codex.
- Self-directed ability to scope ambiguous requests and deliver without heavy oversight.
- Fluent in English and clear, proactive communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the gateway service on the client's Nest.js-based internal framework and AWS.
- Implement the webhook contract including HMAC authentication, IP allowlisting, and policy-version handling.
- Build the tenant router and registry with composite resolution.
- Develop the source adapter framework with per-source auth, retries, and circuit breaking.
- Build the batch path for SFTP landing zones and PostgreSQL policy store integration.
- Define the canonical policy model and shared mapper.
- Ship per-tenant observability, metrics, and an onboarding runbook.
- Perform isolation testing, failure-mode drills, and support security reviews.
