Requirements

3–5 years of professional software engineering experience with Ruby on Rails.
Proven track record of delivering complex features and driving business outcomes.
Ability to decompose ambiguous requirements into actionable technical plans.
Experience with high-throughput, large-scale distributed systems.
Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
Strong PostgreSQL skills including schema design, query optimization, and migrations.
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs within Rails.
Solid testing practices using RSpec or Minitest.
Familiarity with background job processing tools like Sidekiq.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
Strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of features end-to-end from technical design through delivery.
Produce idiomatic, performant, and well-tested Ruby code.
Participate in team-level architectural decisions regarding data modeling, API design, and background processing.
Identify and act on opportunities to improve code quality, performance, and developer experience.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and feedback.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA stakeholders to align implementation with goals.
Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and system improvements via on-call rotation.
Document technical decisions and service patterns to build team knowledge.
