Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong coding skills in React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web tooling.
- Working understanding of Java, microservices, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Experience building and integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in a real engineering workflow.
- Proven ability to own the delivery of multiple features end-to-end (plan, design, develop, and deploy).
- Knowledge of data structures and object-oriented design.
- Experience with responsive design, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback in code reviews.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy new user experiences and backend services across business verticals using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js, and Java.
- Own features end-to-end including planning, design, development, deployment, measuring metrics, and iterating.
- Break down complex engineering problems into achievable tasks and deliver them within committed timeframes.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Data, and Business stakeholders.
- Contribute to A/B tests and utilize experimentation results for product decisions.
- Enforce good coding patterns, testing, and edge-case handling through active participation in code reviews.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, new hires, and interns.
- Create shared components, utilities, and services to improve team velocity.
- Maintain and improve runbooks, alerting, and monitoring for deployed features.
- Participate in a reasonable on-call rotation with the team.
