Requirements
- 5+ years of QA experience, with a focus on API/backend testing and independent ownership of test strategy.
- Experience testing REST APIs (Postman or equivalent tooling).
- Experience writing and maintaining structured test cases and test plans.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing within a GitLab CI (or equivalent) workflow.
- Experience in mortgage, lending, or financial services.
- Good English communication skills (B2+) — daily collaboration with a US-based team.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans and test cases for a new integration/middleware layer connecting a partner portal to internal systems.
- Perform API-level functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Validate synchronous and asynchronous (event-driven) flows, including error handling and retry/dead-letter scenarios.
- Collaborate with the Business Analyst to translate documented business flows into test scenarios.
- Log, track, and verify defect resolution across environments (Development → QA → UAT → Production).
- Support automation of API test suites where applicable.
- Validate security and access-control behavior (authentication, authorization, data segregation).
