Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field from US schools (Master’s preferred).
- 1+ years of teaching experience in math or experience in a community college/college-level tutoring center.
- Academic history demonstrating high achievement (e.g., 3.5+ GPA).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.
- Robust understanding of classroom pedagogy.
- Ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans using real-world examples.
- Mastery of SAT and ACT Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics).
Responsibilities
- Instruct small core groups of students in math skills to drive mastery and top ACT/SAT scores.
- Monitor student progress using a multi-phase curriculum.
- Engage students in individualized growth and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain and update student lesson schedules on an online platform.
- Hold students accountable for assignments.
- Spearhead the development and execution of lesson plans and curriculum.
- Guide middle and high school students with empathy through the college prep process.
