Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Experience developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective global collaboration.
- Ability to define technical plans for the delivery of significant features or system components.
- Experience making significant changes in large code bases safely.
- Proactive approach to seeking feedback and owning personal growth.
- Enthusiasm for occasionally working on front-end code.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team while leading engineers through ambiguity.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics stakeholders to participate in ideation and technical planning.
- Proactively identify and resolve project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Support the operations and availability of team artifacts through monitoring, metrics, and on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting and improving code review and design standards.
- Contribute to full-stack development, including front-end components, to deliver end-to-end features.
- Develop team talent by providing feedback and guidance.
