Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping production systems software in C/C++.
- Proven track record building or operating endpoint agents for data-security, CASB, or SASE products.
- Strong OS internals knowledge including file system filtering, process/handle interception, and user/kernel boundaries.
- Hands-on experience with content inspection, data classification, and file format parsing.
- Experience controlling egress channels such as removable media, clipboard, print, and web uploads.
- Expertise in multi-threaded, performance-sensitive engineering.
- Strong debugging and profiling skills on end-user machines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for distributed and customer-facing teams.
Responsibilities
- Build the endpoint data-protection layer of the Ent agent to classify sensitive data and enforce policy at egress.
- Instrument and control exfiltration channels including USB, printing, clipboard, screen capture, network shares, and AI agent interfaces.
- Implement on-device content inspection using regex, fingerprinting, keyword matching, and OCR.
- Integrate on-device small language models for intent-aware classification decisions.
- Develop data lineage and provenance tracking for content transformation and movement.
- Implement interception plumbing using platform-specific hooks like Windows minifilters, macOS Endpoint Security, or eBPF.
- Maintain high precision metrics to minimize false positives and ensure performance budgets for CPU and memory usage.
- Partner with product, security, and AI teams to map controls to regulatory regimes like GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
