Requirements
- 6+ years of industry experience in platform functionality, developer tools, full-stack products, or app platforms.
- Experience leading large-scale technical projects from design through delivery.
- Strong backend or platform engineering experience with the ability to work across the stack.
- Familiarity with technologies such as C++, Java, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
- A habit of using AI tools to improve productivity and software quality.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and raising the bar for software engineering practices.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: self-directed, curious, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills for working in a fully remote environment.
- Experience building Reddit apps with the Devvit platform (bonus).
- Contributions to open-source projects (bonus).
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve core platform services and capabilities that power the developer experience.
- Design and build platform features used by external developers.
- Lead major technical initiatives from early exploration through launch.
- Contribute across the full development cycle: design, development, testing, experimentation, and analysis.
- Review code, design documents, and product specifications.
- Help shape team strategy and the future direction of the platform.
- Mentor teammates and contribute to a culture of thoughtful ownership.
