Requirements
- Proven ability to design, build, and maintain distributed data systems in a cloud-based environment.
- Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.
- Strong experience with Scala.
- Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure - AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: write clean, testable, and efficient code.
- Ability to navigate trade-offs between scalability, performance, resilience, and cost.
- English proficiency at C1 level or above.
- Polish language skills at B2 level or above.
- Experience in stream processing frameworks and event‑driven architecture.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience working in containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines that serve as the backbone of all products.
- Drive technical decision-making across batch and streaming data solutions, balancing scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
- Explore and integrate new technologies—data orchestration tools, cloud-native solutions—to continuously optimise performance and scalability.
- Contribute to platform-wide initiatives that improve reliability, observability, and cost efficiency across the entire data infrastructure.
- Take shared ownership of data systems from design through deployment and ongoing support, ensuring they meet the growing demands of blockchain analysis.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and intelligence analysts to build customer-focused features and scalable architectures.
- Mentor engineers, perform thoughtful peer reviews, and champion best practices that raise the quality bar across the team.
