Requirements
- Strong background in JVM backend development using Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot.
- Extensive experience with SQL and data analysis to identify and investigate data anomalies.
- Experience building data quality monitors, tests, or anomaly detection systems.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Ability to take ownership of vague project requirements, scope them independently, and deliver results.
- Comfortable working within legacy systems and high-latency, production environments.
- Fluent English for direct collaboration with international teams.
- Experience with Apache Beam, Apache Kafka, Snowflake, or Bigtable is a plus.
- Strong data quality and observability mindset.
Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and eliminate data quality issues within a high-performance data processing platform.
- Build automated solutions to reduce recurrence of data quality problems.
- Develop JVM-based remediation tooling and checks using Kotlin or Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with an experienced team and stakeholders to shape the overall approach to Data Quality.
- Analyze and resolve issues offline to ensure no impact on production environment performance.
- Scope and execute unassigned, undefined tasks with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
- Work proactively to detect and prevent problems in a large-scale data ecosystem.
