Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience designing and operating production data platforms and pipelines.
- Expert SQL skills and strong proficiency in Python.
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT, data modeling, schema design, and orchestration.
- Experience with modern cloud data tools such as BigQuery, dbt, and Airflow.
- Demonstrated experience with production system reliability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud-native data ecosystems, event-driven architectures, and distributed processing.
- Experience with MLOps, feature pipelines, or model-serving infrastructure is considered an asset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the data platform including BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, and Pub/Sub.
- Build and operate the ML platform (Kubeflow on Vertex AI, FastAPI) and provide operational ownership of model-serving infrastructure.
- Harden and standardize data models to improve schemas and data quality.
- Establish data governance and observability for internal and customer-facing data.
- Standardize data engineering patterns and tooling across product lines.
- Partner with Data Science, product, and engineering teams on production-to-consumer contracts.
