Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience building data-intensive solutions.
- Proven experience with streaming or data integration frameworks (Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, Apache Flink, or Apache Beam).
- Experience developing or extending production-grade connectors, sinks, or sources for streaming frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Java and the JVM ecosystem, including memory management and performance profiling.
- Solid experience with concurrent programming in Java (threads, executors, reactive patterns).
- Strong understanding of database fundamentals (SQL, data modeling, query optimization, OLAP).
- Demonstrated track record of building scalable data integration systems.
- Understanding of JDBC and network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) for optimizing data throughput.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for open-source development.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain critical parts of the ClickHouse data engineering ecosystem.
- Build and support official data connectors for systems such as Kafka, dbt, Spark, Flink, Beam, and Fivetran.
- Develop integration tools for visualization platforms like Grafana, Tableau, Power BI, and Metabase.
- Design and implement SDKs and connectors to make ClickHouse feel native in JVM-based applications.
- Collaborate with the open-source community, internal teams, and enterprise users to ensure performance and reliability.
- Contribute to performance profiling and memory management for data integrations.
