Requirements
- High school diploma required; an Associate degree in healthcare or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration, medical document management, data entry, or patient services is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when processing high volumes of information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable navigating and toggling between multiple systems, databases, and applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of accountability and commitment to confidentiality requirements.
- Reliable internet connectivity and ability to work regular hours across U.S. time zones.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process inbound healthcare documentation and information through fax, electronic uploads, and other designated channels.
- Enter and maintain patient and program data within proprietary systems and databases.
- Review incoming documentation for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with program requirements.
- Determine the appropriate routing of documents to the relevant department or team.
- Monitor incoming requests across multiple systems and work queues to ensure timely processing.
- Maintain established performance expectations and KPIs related to productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with colleagues to investigate and resolve document discrepancies and incomplete submissions.
- Apply independent judgment following established policies and operational guidelines.
- Protect confidential patient information and comply with HIPAA requirements.
