Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Customs, Trade Compliance, Legal Studies, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in multinational trade compliance, customs, or law.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Demonstrated experience in EU, UK, and Swiss HTS/TARIC and export control classifications.
- Working knowledge of EU, UK, Swiss, and German import and BAFA export regulations.
- Experience with trade automation systems such as Oracle OTM/GTM, SAP GTS, or Descartes.
- Experience managing denied party screening and sanctions compliance.
- Experience supporting Intrastat reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary trade compliance point of contact for EU, UK, and Swiss operations.
- Ensure compliance with EU, UK, Swiss, German, and international trade regulations.
- Manage import/export operations, customs classification, and licensing processes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for BAFA export control requirements and portal administration.
- Resolve trade compliance holds within Oracle OTM/GTM systems.
- Monitor and implement sanctions and trade restriction requirements.
- Coordinate Intrastat reporting activities with internal teams and customs brokers.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions for compliance gaps.
