Requirements
- High school diploma with 6 years experience, Associate degree with 4 years experience, or Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance with 2 years experience.
- Experience in project administration, preferably in a professional services firm.
- Ability to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions, contracts, and subcontract agreements.
- Knowledge of job costing, contract file administration, and project revenue.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency in Excel.
- Strong data entry, writing, and editing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively present information to Project Managers and internal clients.
- Prior experience with BST, Deltek, or Wind2 accounting systems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret contract provisions and set up accurate project information in the accounting database.
- Review contractual elements including contract value, budget level, scope, and payment terms.
- Verify project rate schedules and ensure appropriate mark-ups and tax components.
- Process employee expense reports and assist in establishing new unit pricing equipment codes.
- Perform electronic timesheet administration and manage labor and class codes.
- Generate and distribute prebill reports, facilitate edits, and finalize invoices.
- Track accounts receivable and accounts payable for project processing.
- Assess project revenue, identify variances, and enter percent complete as instructed.
