Requirements
- Former admissions experience at an accredited graduate school is strongly preferred.
- Graduated from or worked at a top-tier graduate school or top 50 undergraduate institution.
- Comprehensive understanding of the U.S. and UK graduate application process.
- Familiarity with trends in graduate education, school rankings, and admissions priorities.
- Experience in an educational or academic support role such as advising, teaching, or coaching.
- Ability to manage and mentor multiple applicants through a competitive cycle.
- Available to work during evenings and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to support students through the entire graduate application cycle.
Responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with applicants to identify their needs, goals, and expectations.
- Conduct regular 60-minute advising sessions via Zoom.
- Manage a cohort of 5-10 graduate school applicants.
- Track application deadlines and milestones for each student.
- Mentor applicants through the writing process for statements of purpose, supplemental essays, and résumés.
- Lead applicants in the exploration and research of a balanced college list.
- Provide interview preparation and support.
- Participate in biweekly meetings with Lead Coach mentor and contribute to Committee Reviews.
