Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in Burmese (Myanmar Language).
- Proficiency in English.
- Proven track record of Burmese translations.
- Prior experience conducting translations about research focused on conflict trends and incidents in Myanmar and/or Southeast Asia.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF editing tools.
- Experience with website management, especially content upload (highly desirable).
- Demonstrable experience supporting CSOs working in the Myanmar context (highly desirable).
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality Burmese translations of analytical reports and products developed by the investigative team.
- Translate and adapt website content, visual assets, infographics, presentations, and training materials.
- Upload Burmese versions of analytical reports to the website and ensure correct formatting.
- Collaborate with the Investigations Manager, Project Coordinator, and Social Media and Website Manager to manage translation requirements.
- Consult with the Lead Investigator and project team members to ensure technical accuracy and contextual relevance of translations.
- Report progress and flag concerns to the Social Media and Website Manager and Project Coordinator.
