Requirements
- Demonstrated experience organizing impactful and powerful grassroots campaigns.
- Deep experience managing organizers in technical and people-driven campaigns.
- Strong understanding of volunteer management and movement technology best practices.
- Proven experience developing and implementing training curricula for diverse audiences.
- Strong team management skills with experience fostering culture across remote, dispersed teams.
- Demonstrated ability in systems thinking to connect local, state, and national program scales.
- Commitment to deepening understanding of systems of oppression and shifting behaviors accordingly.
- Ability to travel for work.
- Experience in large, complex organizations with volunteer and staff leadership roles preferred.
- Experience with organizing technologies such as VAN, ScaleToWin, or Hustle is a plus.
- Budget management and/or fundraising experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and refine the organization's ideal organizing culture through consultation and testing.
- Develop and implement training frameworks, curricula, and programmatic activities to support organizing capacity.
- Drive adoption of organizing technology systems and ensure integration across departments.
- Facilitate short and long-term planning processes and manage the team to execute programming.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and oversight to a team of up to 8 direct reports.
- Represent the Field Department and the team's work to internal stakeholders and partners.
- Develop and manage the team budget while aligning resources with organizational strategy.
