Requirements
- 5+ years of QA experience with hands-on automation and structured manual/exploratory testing.
- Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Fluent in at least one programming language.
- Ability to influence without authority, helping developers and PMs adopt quality habits.
- Clear communication skills to articulate risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools, particularly Datadog (nice to have).
- Experience working across web, mobile, and API surfaces (nice to have).
- Proficiency with SQL for data validation and backend logic verification (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Build an automation framework from scratch, starting with API-level coverage of critical end-to-end flows.
- Mentor QA team members into more technical and structured testing practices.
- Work with developers to build shared ownership of quality and encourage better unit testing.
- Run exploratory testing to surface edge cases and failure modes.
- Own feature aftercare by monitoring releases, tracking stability, and driving improvement.
- Identify gaps in product decisions early in the development cycle.
- Track and report QA metrics such as bug detection rates and release confidence.
