Requirements
- 12+ years in software engineering, with significant experience leading multi-team organizations.
- Expertise in distributed systems and platform architecture, specifically multi-tenant isolation and service decomposition.
- Domain depth in genomics, bioinformatics, or life sciences data platforms.
- Proven experience delivering within regulatory boundaries (FedRAMP, HIPAA, ISO 13485, or GxP).
- Proficiency in reliability engineering: SLOs, error budgets, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD with progressive rollout.
- Experience shipping production AI/LLM capability under a compliance regime.
- Track record of setting platform technical vision and guiding organizations to execute it.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to review designs and code first-hand and challenge technical decisions with evidence.
- Expertise in building high-performing, scalable management layers.
Responsibilities
- Own the three-year technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for the Seven Bridges Platform.
- Manage architecture decisions, design reviews, and complexity reduction for the platform service estate.
- Ensure modern, governed delivery using infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and policy-as-code within federally authorized environments.
- Direct production operations, including reliability, SLOs, error budgets, and cross-site on-call strategies.
- Ship governed AI features and leverage AI for engineering productivity under strict compliance protocols.
- Lead and develop management depth while overseeing teams in India and Serbia.
