Requirements
- Proficiency using and developing in WordPress
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience using debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome Inspector
- Strong understanding of front-end and back-end website development
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)
- Experience using cPanel and WHM
- Understanding server technologies and DNS records
- College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent experience
- Significant amount of experience working with and developing in WordPress
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage client websites using WordPress
- Convert comprehensive graphic layouts and wireframes into working WordPress websites
- Manage front-end and back-end website development
- Install, configure, and customize commercial WordPress plug-ins and themes
- Create, maintain, and debug custom developed WordPress plug-ins and themes
- Communicate with clients through the support desk via email and phone
- Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferable code
- Solve theme compatibility issues, plugin conflicts, and accessibility concerns
- Work with client domain name registrar accounts and DNS records
- Migrate websites and troubleshoot server-level issues
