Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. allopathic medical school.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted medical licensure in the United States, with active licenses across 20+ states, including Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Obstetrics/Gynecology.
- Clinical practice foundation in women’s reproductive health and/or obesity medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical care efficiently and professionally while working within established evidence-based guidelines.
- Previous telemedicine experience, particularly with both asynchronous and synchronous care, is highly preferred.
- Experience supervising or providing clinical oversight to Advanced Practice Providers.
- Strong understanding of clinical quality, compliance, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent judgment, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care through a virtual telemedicine platform, delivering organized, efficient, evidence-based care within established clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer on the peer-review process for Advanced Practice Providers and contribute to maintaining high clinical standards.
- Supervise clinical staffing and serve as a collaborative physician for assigned Advanced Practice Providers.
- Complete and maintain accurate patient records using the organization’s electronic health record system and in accordance with applicable procedures and requirements.
- Apply evidence-based clinical guidelines across general medicine, women’s health, and relevant specialty areas.
- Participate in reviewing, revising, and implementing clinical policies and procedures to support regulatory and operational compliance.
- Ensure clinical records and documentation meet organizational policies, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and applicable funding standards.
- Host weekly office hours for Advanced Practice Providers, providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Prepare and deliver quarterly educational sessions and contribute to the ongoing development of the clinical team.
- Partner cross-functionally to strengthen clinical quality, patient advocacy, accessibility, and the overall delivery of virtual healthcare.
