Requirements
- Solid professional experience with Java development, including experience working with Java 6, 8, and 11.
- Proven experience developing and evolving Java applications based on monolithic architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Spring for building APIs and backend solutions.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, particularly using JUnit.
- Strong command of software engineering best practices, including Clean Code, SOLID, sound design principles, and systematic refactoring.
- Ability to read, understand, troubleshoot, and refactor complex existing codebases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the autonomy expected from a senior-level developer.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute through pair programming, code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Evolve established Java systems by contributing to refactoring initiatives, architectural improvements, and the delivery of new features.
- Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance while continuously improving code quality, readability, maintainability, and technical robustness.
- Participate in defining technical solutions collaboratively with engineering and product teams, considering both technical requirements and business-domain needs.
- Take ownership of delivery quality, covering implementation, automated testing, code reviews, validation, and continuous improvement.
- Work autonomously as a technical reference within the team, supporting the technical development of other engineers through guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Apply engineering practices such as pair programming, code review, refactoring, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and resources to support software development, improve productivity, and explore new approaches to engineering.
- Develop a strong understanding of business rules and the financial context in which the product operates.
