Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Business, IT, or a Healthcare-related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of IT or healthcare experience (in lieu of degree).
- Relevant job-related certifications required.
- Must obtain Epic application certification within 90 days of hire.
- Strong understanding of organizational workflows and user needs in a clinical setting.
- Project management skills with the ability to lead meetings and set deadlines.
- Proven ability to perform system testing and follow strict change control protocols.
- Ability to communicate effectively with department leadership and application users.
- Proficiency in utilizing Epic user web accounts for technical research and release notes.
- Capability to participate in an on-call rotation including weekends and after-hours.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and design, build, and configure assigned Epic applications and third-party systems.
- Conduct thorough testing, validation, and maintenance of system changes following change control processes.
- Manage project timelines, tasks, and project definition for new and existing functionality.
- Support organizational workflows through probe-based analysis of user and departmental needs.
- Develop and maintain training documentation and tip sheets for system users and leadership.
- Collaborate with Epic technical support and internal analysts to resolve complex system issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours and weekend coverage.
- Mentor and train team members on system functionality and operational workflows.
