Requirements
- 8+ years in security engineering with ownership and directional experience.
- Deep hands-on cloud security experience (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable).
- Strong security fundamentals including IAM, secrets management, and cryptography.
- Demonstrated application security capability in threat modeling and secure code review.
- Proven incident-response track record.
- Detection engineering skills for log analysis and alerting.
- Ability to read and reason about code in a Node.js/TypeScript and MySQL environment.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
- Willingness to support production operations and on-call rotations.
- Direct experience with SOC 2 audits.
Responsibilities
- Own Rise's security posture across cloud, application, and data surfaces.
- Enforce secure defaults, secrets management, and least-privilege IAM.
- Lead incident response, threat detection, and forensic remediation.
- Perform threat modeling and secure code reviews for Node.js/TypeScript services.
- Manage compliance and audit-readiness efforts such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Oversee infrastructure operations, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability.
- Maintain disaster recovery capabilities and regular system drills.
