Requirements
- 6+ years of industry data science or analytics experience.
- Meaningful experience in fraud, risk, trust and safety, or payments.
- Proven experience building high-volume risk evaluation systems.
- Experience conducting complex vector analysis.
- Ability to build rules and run experiments independently.
- Strong graph and network analysis skills.
- Excellent judgment regarding asymmetric costs and false positives.
- Experience with payments depth, specifically disputes, authorization, and card network monitoring.
- Knowledge of identity verification or on-chain analytics.
- Experience working in two-sided marketplaces.
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to identify and address exposure proactively.
Responsibilities
- Own detection end to end, from signal discovery to deploying production models and rules.
- Build resolution and network analysis to identify coordinated behavior.
- Develop metrics and frameworks for measuring risk.
- Partner with marketing and product to pressure-test incentive and referral mechanics.
- Manage the analytical case for identity and payments risk vendors.
- Analyze disputes, chargebacks, and authorization performance to optimize approval-versus-loss tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with operations to design effective review queues and automated escalation logic.
- Communicate risk exposure effectively to leadership.
