Requirements
- 5+ years of experience across data science, data engineering, and analytics.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for complex queries, data modeling, and scripting.
- Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Deep LLM experience including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and evaluation.
- Solid understanding of traditional ML techniques: classification, regression, clustering, NLP, and feature engineering.
- Proven ability to build reliable, scalable data pipelines.
- Strong product mindset to connect data analysis to business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or as a founding data hire is preferred.
- Experience with product analytics instrumentation and event taxonomy is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or Spark is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build and own data infrastructure including pipelines, warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data quality.
- Analyze product usage and user behavior to identify patterns and segment users.
- Build and ship models including LLM-based systems, classification, clustering, and NLP.
- Define and track product metrics such as activation, retention, engagement, and PQLs.
- Run experiments including A/B tests, causal analysis, and cohort studies.
- Translate data findings into product strategy and actionable team decisions.
