Requirements
- 5+ years of experience across data science, data engineering, and analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for complex queries, data modeling, and scripting.
- Experience with Databricks or equivalent modern data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG, and evaluation.
- Deep understanding of traditional machine learning (classification, regression, clustering, NLP, feature engineering).
- Strong pipeline engineering skills to build reliable, scalable production systems.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to connect data analysis to product and GTM decisions.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or as a founding data hire is preferred.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as dbt, Airflow, Dagster, or Spark.
Responsibilities
- Build and own data infrastructure including pipelines, warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data quality.
- Analyze product usage and user behavior to identify patterns and segment users.
- Build production-ready LLM-based systems, traditional ML models, and evaluation frameworks.
- Define and track key product metrics like activation, retention, and engagement.
- Run experiments including A/B tests, causal analysis, and cohort studies.
- Turn data analysis into product conviction and actionable team recommendations.
