Requirements
- 5–15 years of backend engineering experience building scalable, data-intensive distributed systems.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language — Python, Java, Go, or Rust; hands-on Python and/or Java strongly preferred.
- Experience with IoT data ingestion, processing, and contextualization.
- Solid grounding in relational databases (SQL), data modeling, and ETL pipelines.
- Experience designing event-driven architectures and working with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Experience deploying and operating services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong API design skills (REST and/or gRPC).
- Familiarity with data security, privacy, and regulatory considerations relevant to pharma or cold-chain domains.
- Genuine interest in operating at a growth-stage startup.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services powering a cold-chain logistics orchestration and risk-management platform.
- Own distributed systems that ingest, process, and contextualize IoT monitoring data at scale.
- Build predictive systems for on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance and automate exception-handling workflows.
- Integrate with partner-facing operational data sources including webhooks, message queues, and carrier/sensor/vendor APIs.
- Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to influence architecture and product direction.
- Uphold strong engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability across all services.
