Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience as a technical artist in videogame development.
- Deep understanding of Unity, its render pipelines, and art integration.
- Proficiency with professional art tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, 3ds Max, Blender, and Adobe Substance Painter.
- Experience with the full game development lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Strong understanding of lighting, perspective, technical art best practices, and unit testing.
- Strong knowledge of source control and project branching strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong written, visual, and verbal English communication skills.
- Portfolio representing past artwork required for application.
Responsibilities
- Create and integrate 2D artwork, layers, transparency, and parallax effects.
- Create and integrate 3D models, including vehicles, environment objects, props, and textures.
- Create and integrate 2D and 3D VFX, materials, shaders, and animations.
- Manage lighting, cameras, particles, rigging, and physics implementation.
- Optimize and profile visual elements for frame rates and load times.
- Prototype new visual concepts and provide solutions for art requirements.
- Collaborate with art and narrative teams to ensure consistency with design and themes.
- Mentor other artists on technical art skills and educate the development team.
- Help create and maintain core technical documentation.
