Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Understanding of RF, system design, networking, configuration, and system programming.
- Experience with Land Mobile Radio systems, including base station repeaters and interoperability gateways.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as T1, MPLS, and Fiber Optic systems.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including virtual machine servers.
- Prior experience working with Federal agencies is preferred.
- Current GSEC, SSCP, or Security+ certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop design documentation including application descriptions, interface control documents, system design drawings, and test plans.
- Participate in discussions with customers, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors to fulfill contractual commitments.
- Execute technical planning, system parts ordering, integration, verification, and validation analysis.
- Perform system analysis across all levels from concept and design to installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Convert customer or product requirements into total systems and subsystem solutions acknowledging cost and schedule constraints.
- Maintain project ownership from contract award through final design, implementation, and system optimization.
- Partner with Project Managers and Network Engineers to ensure full project lifecycle integration.
