Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in research accounting.
- Knowledge of OMB 2CFR200-Uniform Guidance and Appendix IX.
- Knowledge of Part 200-Hospital Cost Principles.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation.
- Knowledge of NIH Grants Policy Statement.
- Advanced experience in using spreadsheets and databases.
- Advanced experience in ERP general ledger systems.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Criminal background and education check.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accounts and ledgers for research grants and contracts including account set-up and close-out.
- Manage institutional oversight of research accounts.
- Collaborate with Finance Department, General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Cash Control, and Financial Operations.
- Prepare status and summary financial reports for Federal and non-federal sponsors.
- Review research grant expenditures for reasonableness and regulatory compliance.
- Resolve sponsored program financial issues with department managers and principal investigators.
- Provide training on Research Finance policies and procedures to constituents.
- Maintain communications with departments and provide timely reports on expenditures.
