Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare compliance leadership.
- Proven experience in value-based care, managed care, population health, or payer-facing models.
- Deep knowledge of HIPAA/privacy, CPOM, fee splitting, licensing, and credentialing.
- Expertise in AKS/FWA, False Claims Act, and Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
- Hands-on experience with government programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and ACOs.
- Ability to design and operationalize compliance programs, policies, training, and risk-based controls.
- Experience operating in early-stage, multi-state environments.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills to partner across legal, clinical, security, and business teams.
- Comfort with building processes from scratch in evolving environments.
Responsibilities
- Own compliance strategy and risk assessment, including entity structure, state licensure, and corporate practice of medicine (CPOM) requirements.
- Build out government programs compliance capabilities, including Medicare marketing and member communication standards.
- Manage compliance governance, including committee preparation, leadership reporting, and issue escalation.
- Oversee privacy and HIPAA compliance, including policy maintenance, incident response, investigations, and training.
- Partner with clinical, product, and operations teams to embed compliance into workflows, programs, and AI-enabled clinical tools.
- Maintain certifications like SOC2 and HITRUST in partnership with the Security lead.
- Establish and run an internal audit function to monitor risk and verify standard operating procedures (SOPs).
