Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional software engineering experience, with strong experience developing backend applications using Python.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and distributed system design.
- Experience designing domain models that accurately represent complex business processes.
- Experience integrating multiple APIs and third-party systems, and designing and building REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of integration architecture, including data contracts, synchronization strategies, retries, and fault tolerance.
- Experience building or supporting data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, ideally including serverless application development (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch).
- Experience designing event-driven or asynchronous processing workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend applications and services using Python.
- Design system architectures that integrate multiple internal and third-party systems.
- Decompose complex business problems into well-defined services with clear ownership and boundaries.
- Design and build REST APIs and backend services.
- Design robust domain models, reusable components, and maintainable software abstractions.
- Build reliable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Design integration patterns that ensure reliable communication between systems.
- Develop cloud-native applications using AWS services.
- Troubleshoot production issues across application and cloud infrastructure layers.
- Mentor engineers by promoting sound software design and engineering best practices.
