Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, Design, or a related technical field—or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years producing mechanical CAD drawings for AV, low-voltage, or systems integration projects.
- Mastery of AutoCAD.
- Mastery of Revit.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and related documentation tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sharp attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to thrive remotely.
Responsibilities
- Participate in virtual design and coordination meetings, supporting projects from concept through completion.
- Create and update highly accurate CAD/Revit drawings and design deliverables (2D and 3D) including mechanical schematics, line and single-line diagrams, rack elevations, room layouts, and routing plans.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and implementation teams to confirm project details and document building and room layouts, cable conveyance paths, power requirements, and infrastructure.
- Apply ASG’s drafting standards, cable color codes, labeling, and documentation best practices.
- Assist with creating and reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure documentation accuracy.
- Conduct quality reviews of designs to catch and correct discrepancies before installation.
- Produce installation-ready wire lists, cable pull sheets, and final design packages for multiple teams.
- Maintain red-line changes and incorporate field updates to ensure design accuracy.
