- Familiarity with data stacks including Rust, TypeScript, Go, or Python.
- Experience with PostHog for product analytics and Postgres for data storage.
- Proven ability to work with messy, incomplete, or privacy-constrained datasets.
- Skill in utilizing statistical methods suitable for small samples.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present analysis and confidence levels to executive teams.
- Deep understanding of and commitment to privacy-first data ethics.
- Experience leveraging AI agents to accelerate analysis and automate workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own data lifecycle from sourcing through storage, access, and querying.
- Consolidate business data access by building a shared data lake with specialized views.
- Build systems for tracking experiments and monitoring test results.
- Analyze and identify strategic business questions, providing recommendations transparently about uncertainty.
- Develop analytical foundation including dashboards, data models, and self-serve reporting pipelines.
- Partner with engineering to instrument products thoughtfully, balancing data granularity with user privacy.
- Collaborate with finance, marketing, and executive leadership on metrics and strategy.
- Apply creative analytical methods to derive trends from incomplete or limited datasets.
