Requirements
- Experience building and operating cloud infrastructure on a major cloud platform (AWS preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including platform migrations.
- Experience designing or operating multi-region deployments, including failover and data residency.
- Hands-on experience building AI tooling for internal engineering use.
- Ability to write production-quality code or scripts in Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with secure cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, security groups, and IAM).
- Experience with observability practices and tools like Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting technical decisions and building alignment.
- Comfortable troubleshooting production systems and participating in an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Drive migration to Amazon EKS by building reusable Kubernetes patterns for deployment, autoscaling, and networking.
- Expand infrastructure into a new AWS region with a focus on resilience, failover, and data residency.
- Own shared cloud infrastructure, including load balancers and databases, and automate provisioning with Terraform or Ansible.
- Make observability self-service by treating monitoring as code with versioned dashboards and OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
- Build and operate an AI platform layer, including managed model access and reusable tooling for developers.
- Strengthen CI/CD pipelines and migrate workloads to a consolidated CI platform.
- Document platform decisions and build cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.
- Collaborate with product teams to shape platform work and share on-call responsibilities for production systems.
