Requirements
- Proven track record as a senior engineer successfully working across modern diverse technology stacks.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new languages and frameworks.
- Experience working within complex and/or regulated industries.
- Solid experience with server-side development and a passion for writing clean, well-tested code.
- Familiarity with modern web frameworks and API design principles (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
- Experience with asynchronous processing and task queues.
- Proficiency in working with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms (like AWS).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience with front-end technologies (like React/Redux).
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical direction for new software capabilities on the Kraken platform to support distribution network needs.
- Design and develop scalable and resilient software solutions that integrate with and extend the core Kraken platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global product teams, to align development efforts and support changes to the underlying product.
- Contribute to domain understanding and technical problem-solving specific to the energy distribution sector within the Kraken ecosystem.
- Write and maintain robust Python and Django code, including asynchronous processing, ensuring compatibility and leveraging the Kraken platform.
- Work on integrations with relevant energy systems, ensuring seamless data flow within the Kraken architecture.
