Requirements
- 2+ years of related work experience in reimbursement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement compliance requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret, and respond to payer requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret, and summarize clinical and cost literature.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Medical device industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient information and insurance coverage verification in internal databases.
- Call insurance providers to obtain status updates on prior authorization requests.
- Collaborate with patients and medical sites to facilitate authorization success.
- Monitor progress of authorization requests and appeals through to External Medical Review (EMR).
- Train sites on program requirements and provide coding guidance.
- Implement process improvements to reduce authorization turnaround time.
- Document product and therapy-related field reports in compliance with quality standards.
