Requirements
- Must be a current graduate student.
- Strong interest in M&A, intellectual property, and the music/media industry.
- Excellent legal writing, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
- Available for 10–23 hours per week.
- Commitment to a 3-4 month term starting Fall 2026.
- Prior experience in transactional, corporate, or entertainment law is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review asset purchase agreements, letters of direction, and related transactional documents.
- Conduct legal research and due diligence on potential acquisition targets.
- Prepare and submit copyright registrations with the U.S. Copyright Office.
- Manage and maintain corporate organizational documents to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Review and revise non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Organize and track deal documents and legal correspondence.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and A&R teams on transaction-related tasks.
- Provide administrative support for ongoing legal projects.
